I am here to remind you to take pride in your work. By doing so, you're showing others that your work is worth it. By breezing over the details, it shows that we don't actually care about what we're doing.
So try this: the next project you do (cleaning the house, building something, starting a project at work, creating art, etc.), take care to really pay attention to what you're doing. Details you'd normally ignore, try giving them as much attention as you can. And see if that changes your view (and other's views) on what you do.
Remember: it's better to do or make less or make something smaller that's done really well then to do something large that half-assed. Aka: quality over quantity.
