Take time to grieve any ungrieved losses you have.  Explore and contemplate loss.  If that makes you uncomfortable, instead, make a disaster plan.  A "what if" plan.  If you're fully prepared for whatever comes your way, then you'll feel safe and ready, rather than scrambling around trying to fix things while you're going through them.  Check out Pinterest for all sorts of disaster plan ideas (you can also check the CDC's website, as well).
